Oh…those Won-Tons! I often run into students who had been in my cooking class over the past 20 years and am always impressed to hear how they value the experience, even years later. I received this email from a student who was in class 17 years ago.
Hi Chef Michael!
My name is B——– and I was a student at Thousand Oaks Elementary when the cooking program started and remember really enjoying the cooking classes. I especially remember the Chinese New Year wontons we made with you, they were delicious. I remember being given a recipe book with the recipe for those wontons in it but being a young kid I lost it. Recently I was thinking back to my days at Thousand Oaks and those wontons being something that immediately popped into my mind. I know it’s a long shot but being that I was somehow able to actually find your blog, I wanted to ask if you still had that recipe around and would be able to share it with me once again. I would truly appreciate it, if not it was still really nice to see that you stayed around Thousand Oaks and continued to share your passion for food with everyone.
