In 1993, we placed toothpicks in each side of an avocado pit and placed it on a glass of water. When it spouted, we planted the pit in a pot and then in the ground. It took almost 15 years to come to fruition. Haas Avos are self-fertile, yet it often takes this long to mature. We enjoy hundreds of Avocados every year now.
