Natto is a food made from fermenting Soybeans with a beneficial bacteria that enhances nutrition and digestibility as well as texture and flavor. It’s traditionally mixed with scallion, mustard and soy sauce. Other options are grated raw Daikon or Nori strips.  Eaten with Rice, it can be a satisfying meal in itself. Look for an organic variety at the store or learn to make Natto yourself at home.

  1. Someone on a natto starter site on Amazon said that he once read on a Facebook natto forum that one could derive bacillus subtilis spores from fig leaves, and they are commonly found all over in nature. Have you ever heard of this? Maybe I should just buy the spores! But I live where fig trees grow 🌿
